Bluebonnet Eye Care Team of Professionals
At Bluebonnet Eye Care, our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to all of our patients. We take pride in our personalized care and strive to spend the necessary time with each patient to ensure a comfortable experience.
Dr. Zachary Faust
Dr. Zachary Faust was born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arkansas. He pursued his Doctorate of Optometry at the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. There he was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Sports Vision club, and the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Dr. Faust completed rotations at the Eye Clinics of South Texas and the Jacksonville Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Florida.
After graduation, Dr. Faust went on to serve the communities of Uvalde, Texas and Rogers, Arkansas before settling down in San Antonio. Hs is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the Bexar County Optometric Society.
In his free time, Dr. Faust and his wife Brittany enjoy spending time outdoors with their son, TJ. They love to travel, but hate to leave behind their two German shepherds, Riley and Cooper. Dr. Faust also enjoys watching Arkansas sports, aviation, and playing golf.
April Maya
Optician
April is Bluebonnet Eye Care’s Resident Optician. She is a graduate from UTSA.
April began her career in opticals back in 2019 as a Optician. Prior to finding her love of optical, she worked in photography and film. She is passionate about improving the eye health of her patients and ensuring that they receive the highest level of care.
She is born and raised in San Antonio with a well-traveled international background. She lives in the Downtown area with her 4 dogs.
She looks forward to meeting you and your family!
Sam Martinez
Lab Technician
Samuel is our Lab Technician he's been in the industry for 10 years has experience both in fitting frames and designing lens.
He's has a passion for what he does and is always making sure you have the best experience. Sam enjoys spending time with his family watching football and traveling
